I'm quite honestly sick of this. Please Microsoft fix the localization and language behavior in next major update.
This from today, adding a new Windows Phone to Windows 8.1 Update 1. First background:
- Lumia phone set to use English language and UK regional formats, location UK
- Windows 8.1 laptop display language English (UK), input language Finnish, location UK. Windows installed from 8.1 Update 1 English (UK) ISO file
And this is what I get when adding the phone to Windows Phone App:

I really am wondering how difficult it would be to get Windows to understand that my regional settings both in phone and computer in no way suggest Windows should use German with me. My physical location should really mean nothing, it's my regional settings that Windows should check.
I repeat: My Windows should not show anything in German or in any other language than English. Hai capito?
