    Disable hardware acceleration on apps

I'd like to know how to disable hardware acceleration on apps like Sticky Notes & Calculator on Windows 10. I currently have hardware acceleration disabled in my browser and other software that don't require it.

With Sticky Notes that often stay open for days it causes my GPU to clock high up to 1600MHz when idle clocks should be roughly 150MHz and this increases idle temps by around 5 degrees which is not something I like to see.

I'd appreciate any help you guys can offer me

    Kind regards

Hardware Acceleration is for the GPU not CPU. Disabling it will cause the OS and software to work more, which causes the CPU to work harder. The amount of RAM, hard drive type and CPU, all come into play with how much the CPU has to work.
