There is a log collector used in another forum.
Run the BETA log collector and post a zip into this thread.

Make a backup image and save the image to another drive or the cloud.
There are free and pay versions:
Aoemi, Acronis, EaseUS, Macrium, Paragon, etc.

Make sure there is a brand new restore point.

I already have the log collector you mentioned.

Which backup image services are free? I'm thinking 400 GB worth of storage in the cloud.

    Restore point? Noted.

Also, just upgraded to 1803 today. Now it won't show 1809?

My, you are progressing at pace! I wouldn't be concerned that 1809 isn't showing. Two thirds of the worlds PCs are in the same position....

Windows 10 October 2018 Update has added just a little over 5% to its market share this month, and it looks more and more likely that Microsoft seems to be giving up on it in favor of upgrading users straight to the next version.
Out of more than 100,000 PCs surveyed, only 26.8% run the October 2018 Update or newer builds.

So with the custom install all files were saved, drivers and applications were reinstalled, windows was customized, etc.?
When available please post a new BETA zip into the thread.

For backup images there are free and pay versions depending on the desired features.

Macrium is widely used in Ten Forums:

""Windows Update servers will begin delivering the Windows 10 version 1903 update in April, to current installations of Windows 10 that have been running for at least 30 days.""

Upgrades to1809 can be performed by using a downloaded or bootable Windows 10 iso.
These are performed as in place upgrade repairs: (launching setup or setup.exe):

    Alternative repair strategy:
    1. Take computer to repair shop.
    2. Say "fix it please".
    3. Done.
