Searching range of dates; a nightmare

    no date modified like in explorer ....the date you put the pic on the pc or last opened it.

    I assume you mean, then, as I thought, suggesting using Everything doesn't meet the stated need...

    Hi, you have the explorer solution you wanted... the last section mentioned a popular free fast search program Everything by voidtools (I prefer Locate32) - these maintain an index of files, so searching for them by file name and certain attributes using these is 'find-as-you-type'.

    I simply pointed out that these tools - as far as I know- do not allow you to specify datetaken, so mentioning them seems misleading. (Confiusing date for datetaken).

    Just to back up @dalchina, you can ignore posts 8 & onwards.

    They were an exchange about another utility that, as it turned out, was not useful for your current needs.
