    CMD prompt opens to X:

Hi all. Just upgraded to Windows 10 and for some reason, my cmd prompt opens to X:. I'm not sure why it does that, but if I launch in Admin mode, it usually opens to C:[yada yada]. I'm not sure if this is the cause of many problems I am having with Python, pip, etc all crashing, but that's another question for another thread.

Does anyone know why cmd opens to X and how I can stop that? Seems like it shouldn't do that.

I can't think why it would behave like that it. Is it causing you problems?

I'm sorry. I think I left out a lot of what I now think is important information. I am on Active Directory and after doing some more research, it appears that cmd.exe is set to open to my user directory via AD. So I guess this is acting like it is supposed to...apparently...it just didn't do that before when I was on Win7.

The problems I'm having are with Python and pip and I thought maybe cmd opening to X contributed to that in some way, but I don't think it is. I will start a new thread here regarding Python and pip, but I realize that may be better suited for their specific forums.
