How to Alt tab back to two snapped windows

So i snap two windows explorers, one to left and one to right, then i alt-tab to my browser and then i want to go back to the snapped two windows explorer, but alt-tab gives me choice to only choose one of them and the other is like hidden behind the browser and i have to manually click it from the task bar. So is there any way to fix that?

Nearest thing I can think of is to use a 3rd party dual pane file manager... let's see if anyone comes up with any other ideas.

I have tested most of the 3rd party file managers, and most of them don't work (look) well on custom DPI or if they do they are worse then what they provide. The only exception so far is Total Commander but it is payed and i don't like it very much.

You could just minimise your browser then restore it..

A more sophisticated option would be 'send to back' - with 3rd party support to enable that.

Yes, but sometimes you need to use 3-4 programs before you are back to the windows explorer, not only the browser, i just gave it as an example.

You could keep your snapped explorer windows on 1 of 2 or more virtual desktops,,
Open and Use Task View for Virtual Desktops in Windows 10 | Tutorials

You could launch two explorer windows of a particular size and placement with a simple Autohotkey script...

But none of these will suit you... perhaps you need to speak to Satya...

Thanks man, i already use virtual desktops and i tried this before, but sometimes i need to "dragg" files from explorer to the other desktop so its still not perfect I have no clue how to do Autohotkey script tho so i don't know maybe that is a thing.

Probably just 2 or maybe 4 lines to do that. Great help file.

But it only launches them- if you need to keep them open at a particular and variable place, that's another matter.

If funny that Microsoft cannot do tabs, two panes or snapped window groups for like so many years.... such a simple thing.

Dual Pane Explorer utility may be the answer, QTTabBar is an excellent alternative...
(has a host of options, and is free!)
