Increase File Explorer Text Size without increasing anything else

I have found a number of items on this topic but as yet have found nothing that solves the problem.
It seems that the "text only" options that were available in earlier builds of Windows 10 have, as happens with most useful features, been phased out in subsequent builds.
There are one or two third party "font change" solutions but unfortunately those seem to have other undesirable side effects.
At the moment "Display settings/Change size of text, and other items" seems the best bet but it results in "the other items" being too large for my taste.
Is there an answer to this problem?

Have you tried "Settings" > "Ease of Access" > "Display" > "Make text bigger"? You need to be on v1809 to be able to do this.

If the ribbon text is ok with you as is, and you only want to change the font for the items inside of File Explorer, then you need to change Icon font size, but this also changes the font size of desktop icons, as Desktop IS a part of File Explorer.

You can choose to use a third party explorer. Add on lets you choose font and size.

However you would need a few addons including shellexecutehook and configuration is an issue with many options to consider.

Changing font sizes is one of the first things I do with a clean install and Brinks excellent reg files and tutorials allow just that.

These are the sizes I use:

    Code:
    Current Font Sizes:
    Font sizes.

                       AU CU All subsequent updates.

Title Bars 11 Bold 11 Bold 11 Bold
Menus 9 Bold 11 Bold 11 Bold (this setting alter top line view such as File/Edit/View etc)
Message Boxes 9 Bold 9 Bold 9 Bold
Palette Title 9 Std 9 Std 9 Std
Icons 12 Bold 14 Bold 13 Bold (this alters the file explorer view)
    Tooltips 12 Bold 12 Bold 12 Bold
and it ends up looking like this:

(note... Palette titles are no longer supported)

Thank you all for your input.

That's the method I used which offers precise control. Setting text sizes used t be far simpler in earlier versions of Windows!

    Upgraded to 1809.

    That sorted it.

Do you know any way to just increase the font size of the file explorer menu BUT NOT the font size of the file explorer context menu?

As you can see on this 2 printscreens, the menu font size in 10pt is much too small on my 2560x1440 screen.

Increase File Explorer Text Size without increasing anything else-10pt-5.png Increase File Explorer Text Size without increasing anything else-13-10.png

If I increase the menu size from 5 to 10 (resulting in 13pt) with the tool in option #1, the menu size looks good to me BUT this also increases the context menu size to nearly bold and too big font size.

How can I adjust only the menu font size, but nothing else?
