    Edit pdf file

    Hi

How do I edit a pdf file?

I've filled in a form, saved it to desktop as pdf, but noticed I missed something off on the form, gone back to fill in

I've opened the form via Adobe Acrobat reader, clicked on "edit pdf" but it opens in a new tab quoting prices.

    You could:
    - buy a full pdf package e.g. Nitro's

Presumably your actual thought is 'how do I do it for free'?

    Try searching for
    online pdf editor free

    e.g.

After a massive cock-up with Adobe over my Acrobat 9 license, and their complete inability to help me, I asked around and heard that Nitro PDF was the one that everyone in this small consulting company that I used to work for. The consultants were spending their own money, since they were (Form 1099) independent contractors.

Nitro PDF was not cheap, but it was a one-time purchase, and not a subscription like Adobe. I no longer need a full PDF editor for work, but I use it on a daily basis so for me it was worth it.

I also have a copy of Adobe Acrobat 9 with the serial number and not installed now but the problem with Adobe has been with their need to have an installed copy deactivated with them before installing on a different computer, always a hassle. If a hard drive fails they seem to have no understanding about the plight of their costumers. I'd been using Adobe Acrobat since about Version 4 or 3 some years ago when the initial expense was covered by a project, upgrades were quite a bit cheaper.

Same issue for me. And the Adobe chat support is awful. Responses to my questions were always canned, as though "Mike" or "Smita" was really just a chatbot. No real person could be that obtuse, unless they were ordered to.

So in the end, I had to stop wasting my time.
