Can I do a disk image of my C drive & add to my (F) drive & make it the boot drive?
Much of the video, audio & other data is stored on external HdD’s F, D & K.
Very little is stored in (Documents, Downloads, Music, Pictures & Video) on the C drive.
I want to eliminate having to switch to an external HdD to access this type of data.
Why don`t you just add another drive to the PC ? 4, 6, 8 TB etc.
And you should get windows off the 2TB and onto a ssd. Use the 2TB for storage, or if it`s old, just chuck it.
As far as your question, I would not even try it, you`ll gain nothing, all your data is still on the externals.
Looks like you have a 2TB drive partitioned into a 120GB C: and the rest D:.
Do as @AddRAM said and add a new drive to boot off of, preferable a 250GB or 500GB SSD, clone the existing C: to it then remove the current C: and expand D: to claim the 120GB of the current C:
You'll get a much faster system with a 2TB D: internal drive plus the current external drive space.
