I updated at the begining of October, before that one 'big bug' was found and corected for the re-release. It seemed as reliable and stable as 1803 even back then, you should have no problems.

So it seems after all these months of confusion the major upgrade feature of 1809 is.......it works. ( *party favor noise* )

It works fine and it feels faster than v1803.

Wifey's laptop got 1809 last week. No problems so far ... except it deleted the old Microsoft games.

My desktop has been in metered mode, so it's been safe from the problem for all these months.
    Maybe I'll unmeter it?
Or maybe just wait for the 1909 release?

I've just downloaded 1809 MCT onto a USB flash drive, so if it goes t*ts up I'm blaming you lot...

Yes, an upgrade always does that - the old W7 games are deprecated so will be unistalled, however you ended up re-installing them. Me, I never have my old MS Solitaire etc. uninstalled, but that's because they're the even older XP ones

    You skipping 1903 then?

I have been on 1809 since 3 October, no major problems then, and not now.
1803 was the worst so far in respect of small niggles.

I'm not beta testing 1809 in particular, there are minor niggles with Windows for 27+ years, it ain't going to stop.

I use Applications, not Windows versions.

    Yes, if possible.
I cannot understand the constant "feature updates". I don't feel a need for such frequency.

I had Win XP for three years on one box and for six years on another.
I had Win 7 for seven years.

But I've had four different versions of Win 10 in less than two years. And each update brought nothing of value. Nothing.

I'd like to go back to security and bug fixes only ... and eventually get Win 11 sometime around the year 2025.
I just don't need incremental drivel.

Well, I do find Timeline useful at times, and Snip & Sketch is a big improvement over the snipping tool. Even Edge has slowly evolved into a useable browser. But the biggest incremental improvement of all as far as I'm concerned was when version 1703 added the ability to create and use multiple partitions on a usb stick. That I do use a lot.
