As the OP, my laptop update went fine via Windows Update. I quite like the dark theme which you can now enable in Explorer.

Posting this from a 9 year old HP desktop with Intel Pentium E5500 + 3GB RAM + SSD/HDD multiboot that upgraded to 1809 a few days ago.

No issues at all so far, although I have switched it to metered connection just to give it a bit more headroom and stop Norton being so intrusive (not my machine, and they won't give it up...

)
At least Norton respects the metered connection and stops auto updating (unlike many other third party apps).

Task scheduler has also had some pruning to contain greedy start up apps.
