taking data off onboard mSata SSD
Selling my Dell XPS. I removed my D drive which contained most of my data but the OS is on an onboard SSD, looks like its a 256GB mSATA. How do I reformat that drive, can it be done in the BIOS?

You would have to boot dvd or usb and use software to format it or ideally install an o/s as well to overright data as well
You can sell your Dell without an OS on it, but you will get more money for it if you wipe the data and install a clean version of Windows.
You will need a Windows installer DVD or USB Flash. Boot off of the installer media, choose your Language, then Custom Install, here Delete All Partitions so the Drive is all Unallocated Space, then go Next. Windows will create Partitions and Format them during install. You can create a new Offline (Local) User account called Owner or Dell or whatever and leave the password blank.
Or, you can leave the new owner to install their own OS, after you Delete All the partitions. .
