    Black screen for minutes?

Hello I have a very annoying issue.
My system is taking forever to get to the lock in screen, I have black screen for a very long time!
My security is: Bitdefender Total Security+Heimdal(Thor)Pro & Voodoo-Shield Pro.
My Maintance Programs: WiseCare 365 Pro+Ccleaner Pro Plus.
It is not something that just now has happened, it is over time(6 Months maybe),but now it has reached a point where I would like to have something done about it.
I have tried to unninstall some programs I did not use very often, and I had to get rid of Malwarebytes, and it has helped a little but not enough, please help me.
My system is Windows 10 Home 1809 with the latest updates, my Notebook from Acer(Aspire E 15)has only 4 GB DDR4 Ram with a Dual-Core Processor A6-9210 with Turbo core Technology up to 2.8 GHz.
    Thanks in advance.

Hi, you can diagnose slow boot problems with MS's Windows Performance Recorder.

If you search this forum for that name, you will see examples, as you will if you search for
    "slow boot"
Download and Install Windows Performance Toolkit in Windows 10 | Tutorials

Also please install, run and provide screenshot of GUI of Hard Disk Sentinel (trial) to report on your drives, making sure each one is shown. (This prog gives the best instant analysis I know of).

Please also provide a screenshot of your partitions using e.g. Minitool Partition Wizard (not Disk Management) making sure text in all columns is visible.

Noted you have multiple security programs.
    Bitdefender Total Security+Heimdal(Thor)Pro & Voodoo-Shield Pro
    and multiple VPN's
    4 VPN services(Windscribe+SurfEasy Ultra+Proton plus+PIA) Zemana Anti
    . This may be related.

    Example:
After I installed Bitdefender Total Security 2016, I experienced a significant increase in boot time (slow startup). No guarantee, but this fix worked wonders for me.

Go to C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender 2016 and find the executables: bdwtxag.exe and bdagent.exe. Then, make shortcuts of each on your desktop. Next, go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp and move the shortcuts from your desktop to this folder. Reboot and you should see a pretty significant difference.

Had that problem myself. The fix for me was to disable AppReadiness Service but that only worked for a new boot. For reboots the problem remained.

    Anyway you can test this:

Open notepad and paste the following in the notepad:

    @echo off
    net stop appreadiness
    exit

Save the file using whatever file name you like - say stopappreadiness.bat and save as "All Files" with the .bat extension.

Place the file in this directory:

    C:\Users\<YOURUSERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Reboot and see if the problem remains. It it's still the same - delete the file.

Fix for me was clean install 1809

I on occasion have the same problem, in my case there's no hard drive activity, I discovered if I connect the Macrium boot usb the pc will then continue with the boot.
I did a repair install & used MR boot to repair the boot menu which worked, however recently it did the same again, I turned off 'allow this pc to use your sign in info to finish installing updates after a restart' (or words to that effect), which seemed to have worked but I'm keeping my eyes on it.

I would think that with multiple AVs and VPNs, things would get really slow. It takes time for them all to do their thing.
