Quick Launch stopped working.......

Windows 10 version 1803.

I've been running Windows 10 since it came out. And I ALWAYS had the Quick Launch on the task bar... Sat at the end of the task bar and made it easy to switch to the desktop............

Today, rebooted and Quick Launch is just 2 blank page icons, not the icons that have always been there, and they don't work. No errors, no popups, just sit there like a stump.......

Removed it, reinstalled it, no difference.

Removed it, rebooted, reinstalled it, NO DIFFERENCE.

I'm not sure when Windows stuck 1803 on this box, but is this something MS did? If not, HOW do I get the quick launch bar back to working? And if it IS something #$%^&*() stupid MS did HOW so it get the quick launch bar back to working?

Edit: I don't use Quick Launch but just tried it and it worked for me.

I just created Quick Launch onto Skip Ahead Build 18836 and it works just fine. I don't think I saw the Show Desktop icon when I updated this time.

Creating it isn't a problem... The New Toolbar happily goes out and gets the Quick Launch folder. The problem is that clicking the icons doesn't work........

Here's the toolbar in the task bar (I left the titles and everything on)... Clicking EITHER item doesn't work. I've heard the Switch between windows no longer works, but the Show Desktop doesn't EITHER. And prior to rebooting yesterday morning, IT DID... As I said, I'm not sure when 1803 got put on, or when it took effect, but NOTHING else has been messed with on this box.

It worked. It stopped. I'd like it back.

Hello Gracie,

Are you having issues with all shortcuts, or just the ones in the Quick Launch folder below?

%UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

If you like, here's a copy of those shortcuts from my system in a ZIP file that you can download and test to see how they work for you. If they work, then you could replace them in your Quick Launch folder.
