Cannot go to Sleep (S3) or even sleep the monitor for Win 10

I upgraded from 8.1 to 10 on the 29th. At that time my system would go to standby sleep without and issue. Since the big day, I can only get it to sleep by using the sleep option on the shut down or sign out drop down.
I have reinstalled my graphics card drivers. I have also reinstalled my network adapter and deselected the option in power management to "allow this device to wake the computer". I have not read any after release issues like this. Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks

This may be an old thread, but most often the issue isn't with MS, but your computer hardware. It needs many drivers to run correctly. And the best drivers are found at your computer/motherboard manufacturer's website (Dell, HP, or ASUS, Gigabyte, etc). If they do not provide the Windows 10 drivers, it is likely due to the age of your product, which further hints at why you may be running into trouble. Yes, Windows 10 was a free upgrade. But you should always ensure you have the drivers ready for the new OS before upgrading. That is just good advice. However, there are times when you do have said drivers, but you still run into trouble. Make a post about it, and someone will take a look. Take care.

I have all Windows 10 drivers for my AMD Radeon 640 Graphic Adapter and Creative Labs SB X-Fi Titanium Sound Card and still cannot get the screen saver to work properly. You have provide good advice on making sure that everyone that is having this issue make sure their drivers are updated but based on the number of people that are experiencing this issue it appears to be Microsoft related.

Many users have solved this problem by unplugging any joystick/game controller attached. Worked for me. It's a MS bug I'm sure.

Respectfully, I beg to differ. Often people upgrade older machines in the hopes of using newer technology (I've done this myself, too!). It is very much like the saying, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks". And without proper drivers for the machine, it is almost like trying to ride a fast horse without a bridle or saddle. You crash to the ground, just like a computer crashes. Sorry for the terrible analogies, but they are true. Most the people who have these issues are using old computers without drivers.

If you have Win10 drivers and still have these issues, I or another member here may be able to help find the issue to fix it. And we would be glad to help!
