Hi .... wish to remove OneDrive from fresh install W10.....
have uninstalled it from inside Control Panel but am unnerved to find a OneDrive folder lurking in my username folder, which contains some 10GB predominantly a clone of my Desktop ... please, please could someone provide the steps necessary to completely remove it ..... thanks in advance ..... Postscript ..... the program still active .... see capture at link below as evidence ..... a minute ago i ran the install of the 7-z program using path to USB drive .... in no shape or form did I include '/OneDrive/' in the path, the program did it ....

One thing I found shocking in moving to Win10 was the clutter of the File Explorer navigaton pane. I use a bunch of those reg tweaks to get rid of that stuff, Heres the whole ugly list just to show how much clutter. BTW, One Drive is not in there because I run LTSC 2019 which does not have it.

Right click OneDrive icon in system tray ( if present )and set it to not start with windows. Reboot.
In an elevated command prompt:
Open Elevated Command Prompt in Windows 10 | Tutorials
taskkill /F /IM onedrive.exe
If you're on 32-bit Windows, type
"%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\OneDriveSetup.exe" /uninstall
If you're on 64-bit Windows, type
"%SYSTEMROOT%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe" /uninstall
In the command prompt type:
rd "%USERPROFILE%\OneDrive" /Q /S
