Show hidden folders not working - already ran sfcscannow

Hi all, Windows 10 pro Build 1809 updated -

issue is with in the folder options for windows 10 - selecting Show hidden folders and files does not work. I did a reset folders and also restore default does not work. there is no bullet point in the selection (blackdot) indicating its selected i go to select it and hit apply nothing happens.

i have bitdefender free AV installed, i have USB external drives setup 3 of them and other ssd and m2 drives installed.

Any chance your display drivers were updated just before this issue started?

Assuming you have all your data backed up I would uninstall your display driver with DDU and reapply. Download the latest drivers before doing.

I would also recommend you create a system image with a tool like Macrium Reflect. Create and test boot media for whatever tool you settle on. This gives you the ability to restore should it all head south.

is DDU for Nvidia drivers becuase i have a AMD radeon graphics card and that batch file did not work still can not select and view show hidden files and folders liek %appdata%

I did an update of amd radeon drivers for the card , clean install worked issue fixed really strange that video drivers would break this config set in windows 10 wth

DDU works on Intel, nVidia and AMD.
