I have a Toshiba 2016 C70 series and all of a sudden when I turn it on it wont take me to the sign in page . Been rebooting it 12 times so far and still no sign in page. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Now my other Toshiba did the same thing. No sign in screen just black.thanks any help would be appreciated.
On the first Toshiba, when you boot the computer, do you see the Toshiba splash screen logo? First, try removing the battery and just power the computer with just the power adapter attached. If it is black with no logo, fans spinning, lights on the front and nothing else then the LCD screen may have failed. Attach an external Monitor and see if the same thing happens. If not then there is a hardware problem, possibly the motherboard.
Two laptops doing the same thing points to a probable Windows Update induced problem, possible a driver update.
Are they both the same model Toshiba laptop?
I think your right about the windows update. AMD has had 2 updates and 1 was partially installed with errors so I went back to the 18.12 driver this is when I turned it back on and you got it nothing but a black screen. Is there a solution I can get to fix the problems on both and they are the same series.

Do you see the normal Toshiba logo when you boot before it starts to boot into Windows 10? If yes then the hardware is okay, so you need to boot to Advanced Startup Options where you can try:
Low res video mode
Safe Mode
Either should then allow you to install an older (or newer driver) to resolve the problem.
