    Postgres Folder In C:\Users ???

I recently noticed this folder in my C:\Users folder named postgres.
I didn't find much about it when searching the web.
I was wondering what this might be associated with?

Here are a few screenshots I took.
Showing it's location and the folders therein.

The only most recent program addition (1/23/2019) to my system,

was the installation of the Discord App. Postgres Folder In C:\Users ???-discord_app_2.png
    Thanks.

The folder C:\Users\postgres will be the profile folder for a user named "postgres".
But Postgres is a large database management package.

I don't know why a user of that name would be created by you.
Perhaps some software installation created it? I cannot know.

The creation of a service account is not unknown, it's a simplistic way of allowing the software to administer its own files. with the highly virtualized nature of the way that modern windows works, (the trustedInstaller Pseudo user etc), by setting up an admin level user and giving that user access to the critical "System" files added by the software these files can be accessed and manipulated by the software .

I've seen the technique used a bit over the last few years, and it is normally not that harmful, although having an Admin level user not in the control of the user could have security implications.

The fact that the software mentioned above is fully open source does provide the possibility of a malware writer using its name to host their code, Users running the software would accept the users presence, so would not suspect it so it's appearance for someone not using the database software should be a Red Flag

    Thanks you guys.

I used command prompt to view the account on my PC and I also remove this account.
Apparently, this account was related to WDAGUtilityAccount (Windows Defender Application Guard) and was named postgres.
Which is commonly active on the Enterprise edition of Windows 10. This was added to my system during an update.
Since I'm running the Home edition.
I'm not sure why Microsoft, created the WDAGUtilityAccount on my Win10 Home machine.
I haven't enrolled in the Windows 10 insider program either.
I'm mystified why an update would includes the WDAG account?
