Action Center opens momentarily on left side of screen

Just a few weeks into Win10 and I've noticed that occasionally when I click the Action Center icon (lower left screen corner) that it opens briefly on the left side, then vanishes to appear from the right side of the screen. This happens infrequently (maybe once daily, so it might be related to a fresh boot-up).

FWIW this unit was upgraded in place from Win8.1 if that matters.

Any ideas on this? Apparently screen location isn't a variable for the Action Center, so I'm befuddled.

FWIW this pc was Win 10 since day one. Action Center always docked on the right side of the screen until maybe four to six weeks ago. It started exhibiting the behavior you describe. MS has yet to let me know if this is a bug or a feature.

It's one of those well-known bugs of the October Update, Microsoft has already fixed this bug in the insider builds but has not yet back-ported the fix to the October Update.

Seems like this fix is not yet rolled out into release ring yet which is now on 17763.292?

No, and I don't think Microsoft will fix this bug in the October update.

What version of the OS do you have? Microsoft has already confirmed that this bug was fixed in build 17763.348:
