keep getting destination folder access denied.

    hi team,
whenever I'm trying to paste anything in my local discs other than "C", or trying to delete anything from it, i keep getting a prompt saying destination access folder denied. and it asks me to provide administrator the permission to do it. though I'm the only administrator of my laptop. I have recently bought it like 3 days ago.

    please help.

Do you mean Disks? As in an External USB HDD, Flash Drive, SD card etc or do you mean Disc as in Compact Disc, DVD etc? Or are you talking about a Shared Network Disk on your network? As in a drive on another computer that is shared across your network?

    hi,

No, I'm talking about my hard drive that comes with the laptop. I have 1 TB hard drive and my laptop comes with a pre-installed windows 10. so when I got the laptop the "C DRIVE" was automatically created with 930 GB space. So I used an app to partition the "C drive" as the windows won't let me. The app was suggested by the Microsoft Community Team. It's called AOMEI partition assistant. so I was able to create 3 new drives namely D, E and F. But now when I'm trying to paste anything I copied, or even delete anything from those drives I'll get a prompt saying destination folder access denied, give permission to administrator. But I'm the only administrator account on my laptop and there is no other account on the laptop. But the prompt just tell me to tap continue. Doesn't ask for password or anything. Also when I'm trying to connect my phone and use the drag and drop option it won't let me to perform it. Please provide help. The microsoft team told me to download a small .reg file to add "take ownership" option to my context menu. But I don't want to create any complications. please suggest me what to do.
