Lenovo X1 Carbon 20BT shutdown automatically

    Hey guys,

I have Lenovo X1 Carbon 20BT with Windows 10 Pro x64 v1809 installed. Some minutes ago it auto shutdown. I thought battery is dead so plug in the charger and tap the power button but it had 27% battery left also.

    Regards.

Hi,abrupt shutdowns tend to indicate hardware failure or overheating.

Overheating? Try CPUID HWMonitor to check temps.

Also try generating a diagnostic system power transition report by running this from a Elevated Command Prompt:

    powercfg /SYSTEMPOWERREPORT

Output will be %userprofile%\sleepstudy-report.html. Open that in your web browser, see if it tells you anything useful.

Rats, doesn't give a clue as to why though. Try hwmonitor then. Also look in Event Viewer and check Reliability Monitor: How to View Reliability History in Windows 10

On HWMonitor all temps are fine and not overheating.

You can try a random set of tests from disk to RAM and stress tests... then there's

Have you seen your PC shut down suddenly more than once?
