Enable the turbo boost feature in the BIOS. This feature enables the CPU clock speed to increase when under load up to the maximum value set in the BIOS. If you want to overclock, you can set higher boost frequencies in the BIOS. If you do this, check the CPU temperature under load when running a benchmark. Each CPU core can be set to a different boost frequency if required.

If it`s a 6700 and not a 6700K, like mine, I believe you can enable the Turbo Boost, but you can`t go any higher than 4.3 GHz

I only have mine set to 4.4 GHz so you are not losing much, 4.3 GHz is fine.

I just googled 6700 and nothing came up, do you have a 6700K ?

You don`t have 8 cores, you have 4 cores and 4 threads (Hyper threading) so when you open Device Manager, it just looks like you have 8 cores.

Without a very good CPU air or water cooler, I would not go any higher than 4.4 GHz.
