Oh dear I'm not a techie at all so it's all way over my head, best to Ieave it to my local guy to sort otherwise I'd be needing a new laptop in no time.

Go into Task Manager, click on the Startup tab and look for "Windows Host Process(Rundll32)". If you find it, right-click it and select "Disable".

Do you have a full system backup image in place ? If so, you could try Autoruns by MS to see if the dll in question shows in there. If it does, you can just remove the tick next to it (do not delete it for the time being ), and then see if you still get the error message on boot.

I told you there were people on here that could solve it ten times quicker. Ben helped me out before and if it weren't for him and others like him, I would've trashed a couple of computers by now.
Thanks for marking it solved as well - sometimes posters forget to mark it solved and browsers will just skip over the thread because a possible solution may not be posted and they don't want to read through a hundred or so posts to find out.
