Windows 10 live tiles don't work

Here's another one of those stump-the-experts Windows 10 annoyances: live tiles on Windows 10 apps do not work, especially the Weather app.

To save a little time: already ran sfc /scannow, and got "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."

    Uninstalling apps made no differences.

    Resetting apps made no differences.

Clearing store cache made no differences.

From looking at other live tile problems online, it looks as if there's some sort of unsolvable Windows 10 bug that stops live tiles from working.

The latest Store update for the Weather app broke its Live Tile function. Open your Weather app and check its version in Settings > About. If you have 4.28.3242.0 then it is the latest (broken) version. The effect is that if you open Weather the live tile stops working. A restart or signing out and back in again will get it working, but only until the next time you open Weather.

I'm afraid all we can do is wait for Microsoft to update the Weather app again to fix this

App version is listed as 4.28.3242.0, which explains the problem, and confirms some suspicions.

Changing the scaling solved it for me

None of my live tiles were working for the last few months and none of the solutions online helped.
The genius idea of the microsoft support to simply make a new account and transfer all the data (all settings and stuff would be lost) was not a solution for me either.

Then I played around with the scaling settings of windows for a bit and somehow with every change of scale, some live tiles started working again.
Now after the third change (from 140 to 190, then to 170. I dont think the actual numbers matter and neither does the direction of the change), all my live tiles work again.

Hope that helps some of you.
At least it is a simple and fast procedure so give it a try and hope it works for you too :)
