"This PC" My Documents folder pointing to One Drive and Cannot Change

You have a local folder for OneDrive and an online folder for OneDrive attached to your Microsoft account. Anything copied into the local folder will be synced to the online folder. Remove by deleting the Documents folder in the local folder on the hard drive, this will sync the online folder to match.

In addition, check using the tutorials below to see if you may have set to automatically save your Documents to OneDrive. If you did, turning it off to only save to "This PC" should stop it.

There are two Document Folders. One on One Drive that syncs with the cloud, and one in This PC.. They both are going to the same folder... I have a folder in Users/me/documents that "This PC" used to point to.. but somehow it got changed. I can't seem to figure out how to put it back.

Click the OneDrive icon on the task bar, then More, then settings....



Click the Auto Save tab, then Update Folders....



You will see this. Read the paragraph up top to see what it does and why. To eliminate the Documents Folder (or the other two) from the navigation pane and your User directory, simply un-protect them. The data will still be in the OneDive folder and the folder under your user name, but will no longer save new files to the OneDrive folder automatically. If you wish, you can copy the files from the OneDrive folder to the one under UserName and delete the OneDrive files.
