Cannot Open A File After Moving It

At the office, I created an excel file in my PC, then I created a shortcut (C:\Oka\Documents\) of the file to the desktop. After using the file for some days, I moved this file to a flash drive. At the office I can open the file from the flash drive.

At home, I cannot open the same file.

Looking at the properties of the file, I realized in the 'Shortcut' tab, the file got 'hard coded'
    it's original file path (C:\Oka\Documents\).

I renamed the file and still cannot open it at home PC. I created an 'equal' path at the
home computer (C:\Oka\Documents\Exterior Column Count.xlsx), copied the file into it,
    still I cannot open it.

Will try to open it again from the Office PC, save as to a different name. The issue is,
am off until Monday, in four days but would like to have a solution on such issue in
    case of next time.
    Thank you.

It does the same with the error and original path. I even installed LibreOffice and still can't open the file.

Try to run CMD as admin and copy/paste:
    Code:
    net start TrkWks
    fsutil usn deletejournal /d /n c:
    chkdsk /scan
The service is responsible for maintaining links and check disk might fix indexing.

Also, if you have enabled Protected Folders in Windows Defender, it could cause issues.

In the first pic, where you redacted out the file name, can't read it, but from what is visible, it appears to not match at all anything in your properties pic. Just pointing this out because it all looks like two different files. Again, based only on what I see as visible in the paths.

Is Oka a username? If there is a folder called Oka, you can go to it through either File Explorer or in cmd.exe and cd c:/oka. My guess is that you are trying to get to the Oka user folder, My Documents.

A note: the Web uses forward slashes /// in addresses but File Explorer [and the earlier Windows Explorer] use backward slashes \\\ in the Path names.

Looks to me like you moved the shortcut to the file, not the file itself. A shortcut is a pointer to something, and
they do not work outside the environment they were created in.

I got this with the code:
Cannot Open A File After Moving It-cmd-scan.png

Also, I don't have Protected Folders on in the Defender.

The redaction was to cover the original file name (which is personal). The "Exterior Column Count" is there as a place holder. I apologize for the confusion.
