    I had the same problem and the only solution that worked was this one:

    How can I make Windows 10 search my settings/control panel items? - Super User

    it will reset the index folders so you may have to add them back.

    Search needs to index sthg in Users in order to index Settings. If you change this in Control Panel, Indexing Options, it will cause a problem like this.

    I had the same problem after changing user folder name in windows 11. Solved it by following Fix User Profile Service Failed the Sign-in Error in Windows 10 specially step 13. Maybe you need to follow different steps from the link.

EDIT: Solved! The second error message I found (about missing ordinal #581 in ieframe.dll) was the clue I needed. The problem happened because I had IE Dev Preview installed. It's an App-V package and it can be easily uninstalled by running these...
