right-click menu wait time

When I open the right-click menu to create a new file, it waits for a fraction of a second before opening the "New" menu. I did not had this wait before.

I use a "new file" autohotkey shortcut many times, so the the wait time makes a difference to me.

Is there something I can do to reduce the wait time ?


Also, everytime I create a new file, I then cannot delete it. I have to go in the address bar, hit enter, and now I can delete it.

If you have installed the October Update, this is one of the known problems, this bug was fixed by Microsoft in the insider build 18234, that fix has not yet been back-ported to O18U.

Likewise, I'm experiencing the (waiting) right click issue after installing 1809 a few days ago. Thankfully, it's the 'only' thing I've noticed....so far (fingers crossed). Guess I'll have to wait too.
