    OneDrive Start Over

I am starting to use OneDrive. I accidentally told my iPhone to put its pictures onto OneDrive. I may also have set it to sync its pictures.

    I want to start over.
Should I just go to OneDrive and delete all the pictures? Will that delete or damage the pictures now on my iPhone?

How do I stop it from syncing new pictures?
    Thanks, cb

Remove the Onedrive app from your iPhone. It will keep the photos on your phone. You can also go to icloud.com and click on Photos to view your photos and move them to your computer if you wish. Just use the iCloud storage for Optimized photo storage or Google Docs for unlimited photo storage. The costs for iCloud are cheaper than most options for document storage, compared to Onedrive, since that is driven towards Office 365.

It's getting complicated because I didn't get into my next plan. (That was going to be a separate post.)
After I remove the photos from OneDrive, I want to store old photos and documents there, but I want to put them there myself - not via syncing. I want to be able to look at them for reference from other devices.

Is there any reason not to just delete them using File Explorer or onedrive.com on my PC?
I have Office 365 already installed, so the space is there free of charge.

Keep everything in the same thread, just change the title. Do the move on your computer from iCloud to OneDrive through iCloud for Windows https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204283 which will create the iCloud folder. You just drag and drop the copies. Just remember that any photos you take are going to the iCloud folder on your phone and will sync with Onedrive (use wifi if you have limited data on your plan). Your space is not free of charge, since it is limited for photo storage.

I pay for Office 365, so I have 1 TB of space on OneDrive.
Are you saying that I can only use a portion of that for pictures?

I would like to put pictures and documents from other sources onto OneDrive so I can look at them from other devices. They would be from my PC and iPad. I would not be editing them on OneDrive itself.
Can I create Folders as if I were putting them on a USB drive.
    Thanks, cb

You can use all of that space if you wish. I would not do a one drive save all. Keep the photos also in iCloud and make a backup of those you wish to save.
