I re-installed everything. It seems ok now.

To be fair with the o.s., I suspect that the issue was caused by a "cracked" version of Corel Draw x3, which seemed to run ok on Windows 7, but which caused this problem to Windows 10.

On the other hand, even a cracked version shouldn't upset the OS that bad. And of course, there should have been a better policy as far as updates are concerned.

Perro, fyi - I had the same problem with a brand new computer with Windows 10.

My issue was with a legitimate version of CorelDraw Graphics Suite X4 (not cracked)- so it has nothing to do with a "cracked" version. It obviously messes up something in windows 10.

I spent hours trying to fix and then reset the computer, installed all my programs again and noticed the issue started once X4 was installed so I had to reset the PC again!

To be fair on my side - even though it was a legit version of X4, I did have to tweak it to get it to install on Windows 10. Lesson learned - if it doesn't want to be installed on Windows 10 don't install it.

I have the same issue after CU, first I had some strange issues after manually upgrading to it and I thought, ok .. I'm gonna do a fresh install using the Media Creation Tool but now I have even more problems and my system is a lot slower than it was before Creators Update, for example the taskbar doesnt always work, it takes 2-4 seconds for it to load, it doesnt accept input or anything, its frozen for a short period of time, this didnt happen before Creators Update.

    Any idea ?

Hi @rebel41040 and welcome to Tenforums.
So, an in-place repair did not resolve things for you?

I see you have a Dell. Have you removed all the Dell bloatware?
And, did the system come with W10 or was it upgraded?

Not sure about blot ware, but well Google it, and no it didn't come with Windows 10 download when it came out...

Dell "bloatware" refers to all the junk Dell put on the system - all the Dell programs. You don't need them. None of them. Many of them are a problem, and break things in the system. Sometimes they even create vulnerabilities in the system.

So the system was upgraded from an older version of Windows to Windows 10? Did it originally come with Windows 7?
Would you please fill in your system specs so we can see what we're dealing with?

Found this and it worked for me:

    Open powershell with admin privileges
Copy and paste this line at the PS prompt:

    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

You might have to wait a second for it to appear, when it does hit enter and wait until the prompt returns from PS

Don't know how long it will last but it's working now.....

Works for me! Everything is fine now.
