Found this and it worked for me:
    Open powershell with admin privileges
Copy and paste this line at the PS prompt:
    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
You might have to wait a second for it to appear, when it does hit enter and wait until the prompt returns from PS
Don't know how long it will last but it's working now.....
This worked for me!! Thank you so much!!

I tried the powershell fix, but it didn't work for me. I got some error message saying to contact my software vendor.

I just ran the registry function in ccleaner and fixed the registry issues, which seemed to work, after rebooting.

    Open command prompt

To do this try doing the followimg:

Press windows key and S and type cmd
In command prompt type SFC /scannow

Press enter and let it scan for missing or corrupt files and reboot when it finishes

You could also try last known good configuration at boot up
Tells me I need administration privilages to do this, and because I opened it throught CMD I can't really right-click and open as administrator.
Is there a way to open as admin through the CMD without using the taskbar at all? I can't even search anything on the windows search bar or anything.

Are you able to right-click the Start (window) button? If you are, you should see the prompt there.

It started (the taskbar) out of the blue just like that and just then I was able to press the taskbar, before-hand I wasn't able to.

Windows 10 is the most frustrating O.S. I have work with, so far. Anyway, I have the start button not working super bug, too.
    Up to now:

    • I have run the Get-AppXPackage powershell command
    • I have renamed the TileDataLayer folder
    • I have executed the 10services_default batch file.

Still the same. Start button won't work. So what next?
