    Some apps appear all pixelated

    Hello everyone.

Here's my problem in a simple screenshot :

I have the same issue with the small Skype window that pops up when you reduce the app (no screenshot yet).
    I'm running W10 Pro 1709 at 1920x1080, DPI scaling at 100%

As you can see icons and most text is fine, this only happens with a couple of apps so far. Has anyone any idea what could cause this?
    Thanks

    Of the apps that misbehave:
were any systems/settings changes, or updates made that coincided with the pixellated text?
have they all been updated to their latest versions?
do they have any options for changing font/color/style of text?

Turn on Settings > System > Display > Advanced scaling settings > Let Windows try to fix apps so they're not blurry.

    I honestly don't know, but I don't believe so.

    Yes they have

    No.

    That didn't solve the issue.

I don't have that setting. I believe it was added on 1803.

@Dorryn: Indeed the "Fix apps that appear blurry" stuff didn't appear until 1803 emerged in late April 2018. Confirmed in this Windows Support note: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...ix-blurry-apps. Prior to that, if memory serves, a variety of registry tweaks were needed. If you poke around here in the Customization and Graphics Cards forums, you may be able to find pre-1803 discussions and fixes in older TenForums threads.

I found this tutorial, it does offer some registry tweaks, however they talk of modifying values or even keys that do not exist in my registry and I'm not comfortable with adding them ; do you think it's safe?

Make an image backup before you start the regedit work. Then make the changes and see if you like the outcome. If you do, keep them; if you don't restore your recently-captured image and keep on truckin'!

Hello @Dorryn and welcome to the Forum.
I have posted my solution before and now will copy/paste it for you:
This is common issue with the scaling in Windows 10, still not fixed. I had all the Device manager, Disk management, Event viewer and uTorrent very blurred after many clean instalations. Video drivers are always up-to-date.
The solution is: Settings - System - Display - Advanced scaling settings - type 125 - Apply - Restart . Worked for me since Anniversary Update Good luck..

I just tried setting scaling to 125% and Typora is still blurry. Looks like it's not a scaling issue...

I'm starting to understand why people recommend to perform a fresh install of Windows 10... Mine is an upgrade and it's not the only glitch I have.
