Ntfs file compression - how to remove from folders

    which is what I would expect since I have a 500GB SSD boot drive (C:), about 1/2 full and two 2TB drives for data.
    Yes that is the response I get on my laptop that has 1TB hard drive with about 60GB used.

    On my netbook w/32GB emmc with 5GB free space (now) that was in the compact state that I have since decompressed, on that query it now states:

    The system is not in the compact state. It will remain in this state until an administrator changes it.

    After using the netbook with the OS uncompacted/uncompressed for a while I find that I don't really see that much of a difference between this and the way it was before in terms of performance so I re-compacted the OS and gained 2GB+ space and now have 7.4 GB free space. I'm going to leave NTFS compression off since I don't want it compressing things. Everything seems good. Thanks.
