    Focus Assist How to Specify a Time Duration

    I'm a big fan of the Focus Assist feature, but it's missing some functionality that I would like. I'd like to be able to enable Focus Assist for a specified time period, say 30 minutes or 1 hour, and have it automatically turned off when the time duration I choose is up. The reason for this is that I frequently manually enable it but then forget to turn it back off and I miss notifications. Slack has this type of feature for their notification Snooze and I love it. Is there any way that I could set this up for Windows 10 Focus Assist?

    Hello mandala,

    If it helps, you can change the "During these times" automatic rules like below for Focus Assist to automatically be turned on and off.

    Thanks @Brink. I saw that feature. It's useful, but it doesn't solve specifically what I'm trying to do. There are certain times throughout the day when I'm using my computer that I'd like to enable Do Not Disturb for a half hour or an hour. For example, if I have a video call or need to focus on writing code. I know that the duration of such an activity will be 30 or 60 minutes, but the time at which it occurs varies depending on the day, so setting an Automatic time Rule does not meet my need.

    Unfortunately, it appears that Do Not Distrub just doesn't have the functionality that I desire. If there are any other ideas, I'm all ears though. Thanks!

    @mandala,

    Unfortunately, there's not a duration setting I'm aware of either for Focus Assist to automatically turn off after manually turning on.

    This would be something good to send feedback for in the "Feedback Hub" app to help make Microsoft aware of a wanted feature. If enough people request it, it may get added if able.

    Good idea @Brink. I just added my suggestion / feature request to Feedback Hub. If anyone else sees this and would like to see this implemented, please upvote my Feedback here: Feedback Hub - Windows Insider
