Understand about using two key combinations but I am after to use just one key as two takes twice the time and a second wasted, may get me wasted. lol

Just tap the Windows Key. Try it.
When I press the windows key it just launches a third party start menu.
I just tried this and it seems to work:
You map your own hotkey.

PowerShell to the rescue!
Following PowerShell command closes / terminates all applications currently running:
Get-Process | Where-Object {$_.MainWindowTitle -ne ""} | stop-process
Just make a shortcut on desktop to run it whenever you need to close everything fast.

a) close all open applications?
b) hide all open applications?
c) turn off the computer?
d) immediately put the computer to sleep?
Is it OK or not OK to be able to view the task bar?
