Close all open windows with one click.

    Understand about using two key combinations but I am after to use just one key as two takes twice the time and a second wasted, may get me wasted. lol

    Just tap the Windows Key. Try it.

    When I press the windows key it just launches a third party start menu.

    I just tried this and it seems to work:
    Close all open windows with one click.-windowspace.jpg

    You map your own hotkey.

    That's because you have Classic Shell or whatever setup to do that. That's the only reason. If he does not have a 3rd party app, the Win Key goes to the Windows Start Menu by default.

    Yep, I missed reading the instructions correctly. Peek works but only if you don't miss clicking to the right of the verticle bar.

    PowerShell to the rescue!

    Following PowerShell command closes / terminates all applications currently running:

    Get-Process | Where-Object {$_.MainWindowTitle -ne ""} | stop-process

    Just make a shortcut on desktop to run it whenever you need to close everything fast.

    Is the goal to:
    a) close all open applications?
    b) hide all open applications?
    c) turn off the computer?
    d) immediately put the computer to sleep?

    Is it OK or not OK to be able to view the task bar?
