Hi nikolacc. Welcome to the TenForums @nikolacc

You didn't mention the laptop make and model, could you share? Do you know what display adapter your device uses, nvida, intel, AMD?

When you did the fresh clean install using the media creation tool were you able to at least install Windows?

When did you use the Media tool, if recent you are trying to install 1809 or do you have an older copy?

If you can boot windows can you then hold the shift key down and click restart. Do this without logging in. With the password window up there should be a power icon lower right corner. This will start the Advance Startup Options. Can you follow through and boot in Safe Mode with Networking.

So basically Shift Key + Restart > Troubleshoot > Advance Options > Startup Settings > Safe Mode w Networking

In Safe Mode does it still freeze? (Safe Mode will disable the display driver)

If it's only on idle it could be defrag or indexing as they run when idle and it will only be short term until it's defraged and indexed does the hd spin when idle?

I tried Nord VPN for one month and had some strange problems with it. I would lose my Internet entirely, even with Nord turned off. It was also driving me nuts. I finally had to uninstall Nord completely to get the Internet back. I've used other VPN's and never had that problem. Currently I'm happy with Tunnelbear.
