It might be a battery issue, although my battery monitoring apps report battery wear to be zero. I find that a bit surprising, after two years of fairly heavy use. I keep AC switched on continuously most times, even when fully charged, because of an odd fault which has been present for a long time. If AC is switched off it cannot be switched back on again without rebooting. I am used to this now and it is only a minor inconvenience. I monitor the charge level continuously to avoid being caught out by it dropping to near zero at an awkward moment. As soon as the boot starts up, charging also starts. It is good to give the machine a rest anyway.
It will be very difficult though not impossible to replace the battery, or any other internal hardware. That is my only criticism of this type of sealed tablet PC apart from having only 4 GB of RAM (which also would be very difficult to upgrade).
I might install some other battery monitoring software to see what they report about the battery's health.
