Good morning @Stitch194 I'm always signed as Local Admin. Nice thing about being the ONLY one using this machine. I keep everything "backed up", copied to an external WD 2 TB drive and also use a Flash Drive with just my data backed up on it. I try to keep the Downloads folder empty so that when I do download something I don't have to wade through a folder full of files looking fot the one I want at the moment.

I've Disk Cleanup and the Settings > Storage > Free up disk space before, but never checked after running it to see if the value changed. At some point today I'll do the Free up … and then check it. Thanks, I've always just looked on it as an MS anomaly.

@keithy333 please start your own thread and give us as much detail of what your problem is.
Just saying Folder not showing doesn't help us.
What folder? Not showing Where? What are you trying to do? What do you expect to happen?

My question is why Microsoft enables these settings by default? Why have files disappearing on your users so they have to figure out how to keep them, instead of letting the system keep them until you need to free up space. Why install XBOX by default instead of making it an option for gamers who want the service? Why install a gazillion apps from the app store instead of making them easily installed if you want them?

I just can't figure out why they do this stuff by default instead of making them an easy convenience for those who want them??? That seems like a better relationship for their users? I mean really, who expects their new OS to delete files I may want to keep by default???

You're preachin to the choir. That question and your sentiments have been expressed here so many times I've lost count.

It's absolutely what Microsoft should have done but will continue not to do for some reason they are unwilling or incapable of explaining.

Really glad we have the insider program to catch most of these before they go mainline. No one should be running insider builds on a production or primary PC but many do and when something like this happens, unless they have good backups they pay for it.
