    I can't delete Windows.old folder - a subfolder doesn't exist

After the second wave of October Update, I can't delete the Windows.old because a sub-sub-sub-sub folder (hereinafter the X-folder).

The X-folder I can't rename it, delete it or force delete through powershell (with admin right ofc).

PS: I rename the Windows.old to Windows.bcp just for testing proposes as you see..

Give Unlocker a try. The makers say it's only for Windows 7 and earlier but I can confirm that it does work on Win 10 x64 1809 (I have it installed)

I'm fairly certain links are not permitted so I cannot leave one but a Google search is all that's needed.

A difficult to delete windows.old can usually be deleted by booting to something else so that windows isn't running while you try to delete it. Option Three in this tutorial used a command prompt at boot, either from Advanced Start up or by booting from a recovery drive or install media.

Other possibilities are booting from a Linux Live usb or Kyhi's rescue disk.
