    Display Text Not Clear


    My HP Envy laptop has just undergone servicing and a Windows re-install, so I'm starting from scratch. The one thing I haven't been able to adjust is the text displayed inside various windows; e.g. Windows Explorer. The text graphics are crude and simple and kind of ugly.
    Anybody know where the Settings control is for this?
    BTW, In "Advanced scaling settings", "Let Windows try to fix apps so they're not blurry" is enabled.

    It sounds like the resolution is set very low. Is the resolution set to (recommended)? Also, has a value been set for custom scaling? It's on the same settings page as advanced scaling.

    What model is your HP Envy? It's not given in your "My Computer" Specs.

    Have you checked out Clear Type? Put that in a Search dialog box.

    Laptop model is HP ENVY x360 Convertible 13-ag0xxx

    Resolution is set to recommended 1920x1080.

    Custom scaling is not enabled.

    Just tried the Cleartype suggestion and it solved my problem. Wonder why it's so hard to find?
