    Do you think there is any chance that one of the 3 drivers identified by Intel's Driver Assistant woud fix that problem?

    Please update all drivers using the HP website (HP support assistant or HP softpaq download manager)
    Then use the Intel update software.

    It is unlikely that any driver will fix the problem as drivers and testing drivers has already been performed.

    Contacting Intel will be useful as they can comment on any additional troubleshooting steps.

    Run the Intel System Support Utility:

    Download Intel® System Support Utility for Windows*

    Open a support ticket with Intel and upload the results of the ISSU

    I'm trying to open an Intel support ticket. I ran the SSU, and selected the option to submit to Intel. But when I click that it takes me to the site, and I created an account, but it does not appear to be submitting the SSU file.

    It wants me to identify my component. So here's a couple options it shows:

    If I select "I dont' know", it gives me this, which offers for me to run SSU and check the list:

    It can be challenging to contact Intel but they have methods via email and telephone.

    Once you have a usable email address you can then submit the SSU (perform all of the updates first)

    Please perform all updates from HP and component websites: Intel and Windows updates.

    Then run the Intel software.

    When you have the optimal email then submit the corrected hardware error and the Intel software results.

    Intel Communications

    I had some communications with Intel. They had me do a clean boot and see if it continues. It did.

    Below is the final post, after I had commented my concern that the "...corrected hardware error" may indicate a hardware error, and that after multiple checks of driver sources, I am up to date:

    Receiving these error messages usually does not mean that a component is faulty. Most of the times they suggest that there are driver/OS or system conflicts. Even though you are running the latest Windows* build (RS5), we recommend checking Windows* Updates, scan and apply all of them if available.

    You can also go into Windows* Device Manager and look for error codes.

    If applying the latest driver/OS updates does not alleviate this problem, you can also perform a clean boot. In that way, you can determine if 3rd party applications are causing these issues.

    I've been checking 2-3 times a day for any updates from the various sources you have had me use, in particular Windows Update, HP Support Assistant, and Intel'd Driver utility. I also did browse the Device Device Manager, found nothing with !.

    Yesterday when I did a Windows Update, it did install January 22, 2019—KB4476976 (OS Build 17763.292),

    This morning when I got up the computer had apparently booted from sleep during the night, was at a dark screen that would not come on. A click of the power button turned the unit off immediately. Below are results:

    In the meantime I'm going to do some Google seraches on the errors. I have about decided to call HP again on same problem ticket and see what they think. It pretty much seems I'm not going to succeed in resolving the continuing error. (JFYI...I checked my 2 10 year old PCs I built back then and they are doing great. Interesting).

    In the latest BSOD there were multiple drivers present at the time of the crash.
    The computer was sent to HP and they reported that they replaced the operating system.
    When the operating system is replaced all new drivers are installed.
    There should not be BSOD after a clean install.
    There should not be a software conflict after clean install until software are installed.

    So for this latest BSOD > make a backup image > perform a clean install > install all new HP drivers from the HP website > do not install any software/applications > evaluate the computer for two weeks or more only having performed a clean install > if there are no corrected hardware errors and no BSOD then you are set > if there are event viewer entries displaying corrected hardware errors or BSOD > contact HP to see if they would be willing to provide a return merchandise authorization

    If you are unable to test the computer for two weeks without any software or applications then you can replace the drivers involved in the crash and if there are any new BSOD post the beta log collector and memory dump.
