I don't know if this will help any, but If you believe Chrome is causing the freezes, have you tried toggling the "hardware acceleration" setting in Chrome ( ie if it is ON turn it OFF and if it is OFF try with it ON ) ?

I don't currently have Chrome installed, but the setting for hardware acceleration should be in the Advanced Settings.
    Change hardware acceleration setting:

Chrome randomly freezes with hardware acceleration on:

    Thanks. I'll try it.

Maybe my thoughts are wrong. Because, it's not just Chrome freezing...it is the whole computer. I can't do anything for maybe 30 seconds when it happens.

    1) Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:

In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.
System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

    2) Open the website for the computer or motherboard manufacturer > support > enter the product or serial number or model > select the operating system > view drivers > post a URL or hyperlink into the thread

First an apology...I posted a couple posts here that were meant for other thread. Have deleted them.

I have updated the system specs.

Today, I had a comlete freeze that required a hard shutdown (ie. hold power button). All the others have resolved after 30 seconds or so.

The information that was posted in the specs was entered in the HP website: HP Envy x360 convertible

    It displayed 32 computers:

Support Search Results | HP® Customer Support

The more information that you provide in the Ten Forums thread the more you will enable people to help with the computer problems.

    1) Open the HP website > software and drivers HP Software and Driver Downloads for HP Printers, Laptops, Desktops and More | HP® Customer Support > enter the product or serial number or model > select the operating system > view drivers > post a URL or hyperlink into the thread.

    2) Run the BETA log collector and post a zip into this thread:

    3) Update the specs on the the Ten Forums website "My Computer" area so that it displays the specific model

The computer has been having BSOD.

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) chkdsk /scan
    5) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    6) In the left lower corner search type: system or system control > open system control panel > on the left pane click advanced system settings

    a) > on the advanced tab under startup and recovery > click settings > post an image of the startup and recovery window into the thread

    b) > on the advanced tab under performance > click on settings > on the performance options window > click on the advanced tab > under virtual memory > click on change > post an image of the virtual memory window into the thread

    7) Open file explorer > this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for: C:\windows\memory.dmp > zip > post a share link into the thread using one drive , drop box, or google drive

    Crash dump found at C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP
    Creation date: 12/21/2018 14:19:19
    Size on disk: 968 MB

    8) Uninstall Driver Easy and any drivers installed by the software
Unknown files can be installed when using third party software.
It is always best to use the computer or motherboard manufacturer websites. For any drive that is needed and is not displayed then use the component manufacturer websites: Intel, AMD, Nvidia, Killer Networks, Realtek, etc.

    9) For HP computers use the HP Support Assistant if not already in use:
    Driver - HP ENVY x360 - 15-aq292cl | HP® Customer Support

    10) Uninstall and reinstall: Intel Wireless Bluetooth filter driver: ibtusb.sys

    Code:
    ibtusb	Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R)	c:\windows\system32\drivers\ibtusb.sys
Updating a driver. - Microsoft Community

The best tested drivers for the computer's configuration are always from the computer manufacturer's website.

    Driver - HP ENVY x360 - 15-aq292cl | HP® Customer Support

    Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) Filter Driver
    Drivers & Software

    11) Download and install: HP Diagnostics Windows: (right upper area of this link)
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics | HP® Official Site

    12) After completing all of the above steps run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows 1.5.4.0
    a) Click system tests > system extensive test > run once > plan to run overnight > in the AM click test logs > using the Microsoft snipping tool > post an image into the thread

    13) Report into the thread the warranty status for the computer.

So I opened explorer, selected the C: drive and tried these searches:

    C:\windows\memory.dmp
    C:\windows\memory.dmp > zip
    C:\windows\memory.dmp > zip >

So, I went to the Administrative CMD window and typed in:

    dir c:\windows\memory.dmp /s

    None of them found anything.

Item 8 done, Driver Easy removed. I don't recall why I have that on here, so I can't remove anything that may have been installed by it.

I'm filling out this post as I work. I'm going to finish the post, as I'm afraid I'll lose all this. More responses to continue in next post.
