Windows 10 keeps breaking after update

Computer Specifications: HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0058wm | HP® Customer Support

Hello, I have had this computer for about 3 months and was only used for playing games. It was working well until a windows 10 update. The computer displayed an error and restarted. I don't know what the error message said. From then on the computer would be stuck in a loop of trying to fix windows and restarting after a failed attempt. I was able to get into the recovery console and tried all of the options. The only one that did anything was to reinstall windows. After windows is reinstalled, it works until windows updates again. At this point when the computer will only work until you reboot windows, and then I have to reinstall windows. I can boot into safe mode.

Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this problem?

    Thanks,
    Jiku

What happens when you run windows update again, does it give you any sort of error code (for example: 0x8024a105)? I don't think reinstalling windows was a good thing because of a windows update problem. If your computer keeps on restarting over and over again, it could also be a hardware problem as well.

Which build of Windows are you running? It is critical to know this given the different issues with different builds, especially with 1809 - time and again people leave this out (see my specs - it's there). Should be a mandatory requirement for posting...(!)

    Window key + R, winver

    After windows is reinstalled
Which build of Windows did you install?

Please post a screenshot of your Update History (from Settings). What was the update or upgrade that led to this?
To post a screenshot please use the Insert Image icon above your post. Thanks.

The computer displayed an error and restarted.
Essential info usually- researching the error text or number can help.

The only one that did anything
Do you mean when you used the Advanced Startup options (System Restore, Command prompt etc) they didn't respond? What happened?

Or do you mean they responded, but didn't help with your problem?

As a matter of routine, please check your disk(s):
Preferably Hard Disk Sentinel (trial) - screenshot of its GUI - gives the best analysis
    or e.g.
    HD Tune (free) (Health tab)

Thank you for the replies, and I apologize for my delayed reponse. Last I knew I could get into safe mode, but it would not let me do even that. I am currently resetting the computer to the factory image again, so I can get more of the build/update information and run a disk check as you've suggested. I will post them as soon as I can collect that data.

As for your question about what happened with the other recovery options, they just said they were unsuccessful in repairing the computer. They did seem to load though. As for any error codes, I will pay closer attention to what they say and post the details if I can.

Thank you for your time and help,
    Jiku
