    Russian characters in programs installed. Would like a second opinion

    I'm running Windows 10 on Bootcamp. THis is a work computer. So almost all program installed are work related. So while installing one of these programs, I remember a prompt window saying that i needed to install .NET package. Without hesitating, i agreed. Now while looking through Add/Remove program, I noticed this in the list.

    It does not sit well with me seeing Russian characters on a normal windows installation. Do i Uninstall this and download the .NET package from elsewhere? Or is this normal ?

    Any info appreciated. Thank you.

    But i dont live in the USA. I'm neither a Democrat nor a republican. Heck, i'm not even American. so what do they want from me ?

    Anyway, you have assured me enough to have it uninstalled. I guess I'll find out days down the line what the other side effects of installing this in this first place are.

    Having Cyrillic as the language for your Windows install, makes those of us on here believe that you are using a pirated version of Windows. Also, no one asked for your political views, so why respond back to the OP, regarding it.

    Its an office computer. I haven't a clue if its pirated version of Windows or not. For the record, I wasn't stating my political views. it was tongue in cheek. but it looks like i touched a nerve there.

    It may just be your external IP. Some bright person thought it would be a good idea to download different language versions, depending on the downloader's IP Address a while back, and some more bright people are still using it. So if you are using a VPN or something similar, next time, you maybe downloading a Japanese version of the program. I don't know how they decide for Belgium or Switzerland.
    I still remember downloading a German Mac OS from Apple US Market in English Website.

    Hi there

    @shibalsaekki

    try adding Russian as a windows display language -- then you can switch between the two or however many languages you install.

    You can also add Russian as an input method (keyboard) as well and you can also choose extra keybords for input methods.

    Here's mine for Icelandic language and Isl and UK keyboards.

    Same is true for OFFICE and you can also have editing languages etc.
