Sharing monitor with 2 people who like different form factors.

We are getting a new shared computer and monitor at work, and my coworker dislikes the way things are displayed in browsers etc on the wide screen. and I am looking forward to having some space on the screen.

I would love it if we could simply click a button and switch between full screen and a narrower display with black bars on the outside edges for him... But, I am not very hopeful that such a method exists. But perhaps a solution does exist for the use of someone with a vision condition???

Does anyone else have any other potential solutions or ideas?

    Thanks!

Setup two user accounts would be the easiest way to handle it. They would have all the same programs and access to all the same network resources but the separate accounts would allow you to set each one up as each one preferred.

Each person should have their own login. If the coworker does not like the new monitor, then they have bigger issues. As for someone with a vision problem, there is nothing that will correct that. I have ongoing problems with glaucoma, cataracts and tearing inside the lens, which nothing will fix that with how I change what I view for a computer, other than take time to rest my eyes and not stare at the screen for long periods.
