    Cannot get notifications to work

    Hello,

Awhile back notifications suddenly stopped working, I can't remember if it was after an update.

Under Settings > System > Notification & actions. I have "Get notification from apps and other senders" enabled and have toggled the switch to on under the app list. Still nothing.

Bit of googling founda suggestion to run the SFC, while it did find and repair files, notifications still do not work.

    Any ideas?

Hi, which Windows build are you using? This is critical to know with different MS bugs in 1803 and 1809 and so many fail to say.
    (See my specs for comparison).

    Windows key + R, winver

    I will assume you're using 1809.

Please see my notes from others posting on the same topic- may help:

    Notifications
I am not getting any notifications, I checked with several programs and with Notifications Visualizer app from the store.
The weirdest thing is that the speech bubble icon shows the notification count correctly but no notification sound or toast is displayed when the notification arrives and on top of that, after opening the action center itself, the notifications don't appear in the list, it's completely empty.

I tried to create a new user and without even restarting the pc, I just logged off and switched account, the notifications worked on the other account.

Focus assist is disabled, I double checked.

Do you happen to know any way to reset the action center?
    The event viewer lists:
Toast with notification tracking id 46 is being delivered to 58300WindowsNotifications.NotificationsVisualizer_8rkfj2ay7vd1w!App on session 1.
    Start Toast Notification Forwarding activity
    Stop Toast Notification Forwarding activity

58300WindowsNotifications.NotificationsVisualizer_8rkfj2ay7vd1w!App looks like an app, maybe reinstalling it could fix the issue?

=> turn on background apps and restart
Action Center stopped working after 1809[/U][/URL]

I know this might sound a bit silly but have you tried a reboot?
