Can Wiin10 have a path and file name longer than 256 characters?

I was under the impression that this was a feature that was added to one of the updates on Windows 10.

Enable long file name support in Windows 10 | IT Pro

How come I'm still gettng an error when copying a file deep down a directory path to another drive?

    eg. copy c:\users ...256+ characters...\fName d:\

I'm using WIndows 10, Home, 64-bit (and yes I did the registry fix suggested in the link above)

Did you reboot after applying the Registry Modification?

Yes, I rebooted and double checked the registry modification.

To re-create create a new Windows file, copy any long paragraph to the WIndows clipboard, re-name the file using the paragraph as the file name, press Enter to rename the file, and the system will beep with an error. I am using WIn Home 64-bit version 1803 build 17134.345. I'm logged in an admin account.
