"We can't open this file" message in File Explorer

This morning I attempted to view a few jpg's in File Explorer and found it generated this message: "We can't open this file"... I can't open any image any longer... It worked beautifully last night... I want to be able to continue to use File Explorer... I searched the net for a fix and found nothing... Can someone here please help me?

Please post a screenshot of explorer open at a folder containing a jpg so we can see the icon of any associated program. (Not the image in the jpg file).

    Example:
"We can't open this file" message in File Explorer-1.jpg
(Here you can see Irfanview's icon).

What do you see if you do this?
"We can't open this file" message in File Explorer-untitled.png

Can you see your image if you click one of those choices?

If so, then repeat, click Choose another program, tick the box at the bottom and choose the program you want that file type to open with.Mo

Note that problems have been reported in setting default apps/programs in build 1803.

    What is your Windows build?
    Windows key + R, winver.

Can you think what happened since 'last night'? Did you install any new programs? Have you received any windows updates? (To check, view Update History in Settings and see if there was an update on the relevant date and if so, post a screenshot).

To post a screenshot please use the Insert Image icon above your post. Thanks.
